Swarms
As part of the honey bee reproduction process, colonies may cast swarms during the Spring and early Summer. Swarms can seem extremely intimidating, so call a beekeeper for help in relocating them.
If you happen to find a swarm of bees, please do not spray them. Contact us or another local beekeeper to relocate the bees to a new home. If we can not come get the swarm, we will coordinate help from another beekeeper to go remove them. Removing a swarm is typically a free service.
Bee Extraction / Bee Removals / Cut-outs
If the bees have established themselves into a structure and built a nest, it is no longer a swarm; they are an established colony. Extracting bees out of a structure is extremely labor intensive, time consuming and can involve additional cost.
We seldom do bee extractions anymore, but would be glad to put you in contact with another beekeeper who may be able to assist in the process.
Other Common Insects
We do not remove nests built in or around your home such as wasps, yellow jackets or hornets.
